**Department Overview**

Market Risk & Model Development (MRMD) is responsible for managing the ever-changing and dynamic world of trading and non-trading market risk, counterparty credit, margin management, liquidity risk and model development. Within MRMD, Capital Markets Risk Management (CMRM) is accountable for supporting TD Securities and TBSM business objectives in accordance with TD’s risk appetite and regulatory expectations. CMRM provides independent oversight of enterprise-wide market, counterparty credit and liquidity risks; ensuring all significant risks are appropriately measured, reported, analyzed and transparent.

As a Market Risk Analyst in MRMD Governance & Analytics, you will be part of a group that is responsible for supporting MRMD through Data & Operational Governance and Metrics reporting, investigation and escalation as prescribed by the OCDO and BCBS 239 requirements.

- Job Description and Accountabilities
- Review and documentation of the process Risk Control Self-Assessment (pRCSA) for MRMD, ensure all analysis is complete and accurate with thorough commentary, while escalating issues in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and document QA/QC testing and design effectiveness for all MRMD key controls.
- Governance of MRMD Standards, including annual reviews and attestations (EUC, LAN, & Data Retention) to demonstrate Enterprise Compliance.
- Review of Standardized Roles Documentation
- Participate in discussion on behalf of MRMD for Internal and External Loss Event Reporting.
- Provide ad hoc support to MRMD in regards to Governance best practices.
- Be proactive with change management objectives by continuous improvement of independent processes, while ensuring day-to-day operations are maintained, to effectively support the business.
- Ensure operational and regulatory risks within your business are correctly measured, aggregated, and analyzed in accordance with established and approved market risk policies, while adhering to CMRM standards Process Risk and Controls Self-Assessments.
- Support in identifying innovative opportunities and help drive these initiatives.
- Evolve analytical and attribution capabilities and business knowledge, and develop skills required for today and future, while understanding, identifying and responding proactively to current and emerging risks.
- Develop and maintain key relationships with partners across Risk Management in support of governance functions related to Business and Operational Governance.
- Collaborate and liaise closely with our business partners to assist in meeting the Bank’s objectives.

- Knowledge of financial instruments, regulations and market risk metrics, gained through academic study, or practical experience.
- Risk, Valuations and/or reporting systems knowledge is an asset.
- Programming skillsets such as VBA, Python, SQL is an asset to develop, modify and continually improve the risk management infrastructure used to capture and analyze risk.
