We are currently seeking a self-motivated **Distribution Center Manager** to fill a position that will be based in **Sturgeon Falls, Ontario**. Boart Longyear is committed to high quality, safety, environmental and continuous improvement practices. Applicants should be able to demonstrate shared values in this area.

This position is a full-time role and hours of work will be 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday.

**Minimum Qualifications and Experience**

The successful applicant will possess the following skills and experience:

- Formal Education- Bachelors degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration- Work Experience- At least 5 years’ experience as a Warehouse Supervisor- Knowledge of ERP (Oracle) software systems and proficiency in MS Office- Experience working and developing the Lean, 5S Culture Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations- Highly effective supervisory skills; techniques, sound judgement, strong organizational skills- Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data- An excellent customer service, both internally and externally, that ensures customer needs, queries and disputes are resolved efficiently, timeously and professionally- Behavioral Skills- Strategic leadership- Attention to detail & problem solving- Planning, organizing, execution- Impeccable standards of ethics and integrity- Strong relationship skills (Team Player)- Work collaboratively- Effective and open communication with strong presentation skills**Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following)**:

- Coordinates activities of staff employees.- Guides, manages, and directs the activities of subordinates and functions of assigned area.- Analyzes and organizes area operations and procedures.- Monitors and evaluates area production.- Revises or creates procedures to improve efficiency of workflow.- Establishes uniform correspondence procedures and style practices.- Formulates procedures for systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer and disposal of records.- Plans office layouts and initiates cost reduction programs.- Reviews clerical and personnel records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.- Prepares activity reports for guidance of management using computer or other automated office equipment.- Prepares employee performance evaluations.- May prepare area budget and monthly financial reports.- Responsible for hiring, training, and supervising staff.- May compile, store and retrieve managerial data.**Reporting Relationship**

The position reports directly to the Global Supply Chain Manager for Global Transportation and Compliance and NAM Warehousing, who is located in Salt Lake City, Utah.
