Unprecedented in its scale and complexity, this multi-billion-dollar capital program will transform the GO regional rail network with electrification, more frequent service, shorter journey times and a more modernized system for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.

**Accountability**:

- ONxpress Transportation Partners, Operations & Maintenance (O&M) is looking for an Internal Communications Specialist to lead and implement the internal communications strategy, while laying the groundwork for establishing a unified corporate culture.
- The incumbent will support the team by creating fresh written and visual content that engages OOI employee audience in fun, meaningful & inspirational ways. The Specialist will work in a collaborative environment to implement best practice standards for internal communications company-wide, working with the team to execute communications campaigns in an effective and timely manner so that employees have access to accurate, current, and easy-to-understand information.

**Responsibility**:

- Create written and visual content for distribution across multiple employee communication channels, in keeping with OOI's voice, strategic priorities, and brand identity
- Work closely with the team to support and execute multiple communications programs
- Be meticulous with content to ensure quality, standards and deadlines are met
- Collaborate with departments and cross-functional teams to balance, integrate and prioritize communications
- Actively participate in creative idea generation to consistently elevate the work and reputation of the Communications team
- Provide sound advice to departments on communications best practices
- Manage the Editorial Calendar, ongoing reporting and analytics of campaigns and activities to constantly measure effectiveness and inform ongoing approaches to employee communications
- Lead and support the planning and organization of events such as Town Halls, Milestone Celebrations, Conferences or Employee Events

**Education & Qualifications**:

- An advanced degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Journalism, Public Relations or any other related field.A working experience of the equivalent is also acceptable.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 5- 7 years of experience in corporate communications and internal/employee communications.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in small and large groups.
- Direct experience and knowledge of internal communications best practices and techniques.
- Direct experience and knowledge of planning employee events that drive and foster a unified corporate culture.
- Proven ability to execute communications plans with the ability to think strategically while delivering tactical results.
- Possess outstanding oral and written communications skills including superior writing, grammar, editing, proofreading and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to think analytically and develop solutions that meet the business needs of the company.

- Ability to learn new technology and platforms quickly.

- Highly computer literate with capability in of the Microsoft Office suite of products (SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Experience working on HR-related projects will be considered an asset.
- Infrastructure, transportation or construction industry experience is considered an asset.
