Site Safety Manager

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Site Safety Manager for a multi-site wood frame construction project in North Vancouver. This role will be based on site and you will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of our Safety Program. As a COR Certified Company, our strong commitment to the health and safety of all who work on our projects is paramount.
**You**
- Are able to conduct meetings and speak to large groups
- Have a deep knowledge of local Occupational Health & Safety Regulations
- Are able to meet deadlines
- Have the ability to build positive working relationships with our trade partners and site teams
- Know when to ‘pick your battles’
- Have knowledge of Return-to-Work programs for injured workers
- Are an excellent communicator
- Can provide options for safety compliance
- Will attend trade safety start up meetings
**You will**
- Monitor and enforce safety compliance and regulations
- Conduct risk assessments
- Provide on site safety guidance to trade partners
- Act as a liaison between Site Safety Advisors and Project Managers
- Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports up to, and including, project statistics to the Safety Manager
**You have**
- A minimum of 5 - 10 years’ experience in residential wood frame construction (required)
- Strong organization and people skills
- A strong knowledge of
- Cranes
- Mobile equipment
- Ground disturbance
- Wood frame construction processes
- Electrical safety
- Outstanding computer skills, including experience in Electronic Safety Systems, such as SiteDocs
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of construction work processes, tools, and machinery
- The ability to guide train and teach site crews regarding safety
- Understanding of current regulations, bylaws, and utility protection
- Be a strong in Regulatory knowledge and advise the site superintendent accordingly
**You also have (Education)**
- A current CSO Certification (from BCIT or other reputable establishment)
- OFA Level 2 training
- WHMIS Certification
- NCSO Certification (preferred, or working towards this certification)
- Confined Space training (preferred)
- Fall Protection training (preferred)
- COR Internal Auditor training (preferred)
- De-Escalation training (preferred)

**Salary range**
- $80,000 - $95,000
