**Summary**:
Reporting to the Directors, the Aggregate Operations Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the Aggregate division, including overseeing the gravel pits and Truck Drivers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with the Aggregate General Superintendent to plan, advise, organize, and evaluate gravel pit operations.
- Work with third parties to negotiate the price of contracts, evaluate bids/tenders, and promote services.
- Work with the Dispatcher to monitor and manage the aggregate fleet, including planning, organizing, and evaluating to ensure effective and efficient aggregate transportation.
- Personnel management: determine staffing needs, hire, arrange for training, manage performance, etc.
- Perform regular reviews and reports of cost, quality, safety and productivity metrics, setting plans and executing these effectively to drive optimal performance.
- Follow company policies and procedures. Create new policies or procedures when required.
- Work with the safety team to ensure a positive and proactive safety culture and compliance including monitoring safety, training, and resolving safety issues.
- Partner and collaborate with team members including, Directors, Project Managers, Safety, Shop Service Manager and HR.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years experience working in the Aggregates industry.
- 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
- Technical knowledge of quarry and mining procedures, equipment, standards and requirements.
- Able to determine the type and scope of products to be manufactured/ sold to meet projects and company standards.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams, problem-solve and make decisions.
- Strong organizational, communication, negotiation and time management skills.
- Able to work professionally in a fast-paced environment.
