**Summary**:
Working with the site Foreman, the Top Man is responsible for assisting the Pipe Layer to lay pipe for storm or sanitary sewers, drains and water mains. The will do a variety labour work and work with equipment and crew members to complete projects.

**Job Duties Responsibilities**:

- Follow directions and perform a variety of physical tasks
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Assist Operators & Pipe Layer
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by general clean-up of site and equipment
- Report any equipment hazards or issues
- Comply with all policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Previous construction experience is an asset
- Valid drivers license, Class 1 or 3 is considered an asset
- Knowledge of heavy equipment
- Excellent observation skills
- Physically capable of performing the duties of the position in adverse weather conditions (hot/humid, rain, snow, winter)
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to read and understand plans or blue prints is considered an asset
- Work well with others
- Willing and able to travel out-of-town/province, 21-day shifts with 7 days off, is an assetSafety-first attitude
