Administrative Assistant/executive Assistant

**Description of the Position**
As the Administrative/ Executive Assistant, you will bring your expertise, knowledge, and keen attention to detail to support the team with administrative tasks, workflow, preparing documents, and demonstrating a high level of excellence. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys being highly independent and gets a sense of satisfaction working under pressure in a dynamic non-profit legal environment. If you're extremely organized and enjoy supporting a team to get results - accomplish tasks, drive progress, multi-task, and problem-solve - this would be a great role for you.
**Preferred Skills and Experience**:
- 2+ years of Office Administration experience, preferably in the non-profit sector
- Ability to assist in the administration of grants, coordinating tasks and tracking deadlines
- Attention to detail with an ability to prioritize
- Task flexibility and ability to work on multiple tasks at one time
- Provide liaison support to the Board of Directors and take minutes
- Maintain a calendar and appointments for the Executive Director
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping including accounts payable, receivable and payroll
- Familiarity with Quickbooks is an asset
- Passion and commitment to working with the South Asian diaspora community.
- Upbeat, positive, friendly and personable with good judgement in anticipating situations
- Knowledge of and ability to speak one or more South Asian languages.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
