As we move through a period of exciting and challenging organizational change, Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) has an immediate opening for an experienced **Stakeholder Relations Coordinator**.

Under the authority of the _Professional Engineers Act_, PEO licenses and governs over 91,500 licence and certificate holders and regulates the practice of professional engineering in Ontario. PEO’s mission is to regulate and advance the practice of engineering to protect the public interest. With a talented, multi-disciplinary staff of over 100, PEO’s vision is to be a trusted leader in professional self-regulation.

Reporting to the Manager, Stakeholder Relations, the Stakeholder Relations Coordinator provides administrative support for and assists in the development, implementation and tracking of strategic stakeholder relations projects and initiatives. As a member of PEO’s External Relations team, the Stakeholder Relations Coordinator helps to build positive and professional working relationships with key stakeholders by organizing, monitoring and supporting purposeful engagement activities that contribute to PEO’s regulatory mandate.
- Assists in the coordination, planning and implementation of a range of consultation and engagement strategies and activities, including surveys, meetings, roundtables and discussion groups.
- Supports the development and updating of core engagement materials, including key messages, briefings, letters and presentations.
- Liaises with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and support project activities, ensuring positive stakeholder experience and that stakeholder needs are met as projects and initiatives evolve.
- Gathers and organizes input and feedback from stakeholders, ensuring engagement records are kept up-to-date and reflect the latest contact and next steps.
- Tracks metrics to measure the outcomes of engagement activities and assists in reporting on progress against organizational priorities.
- Monitors the regulatory environment and industry trends.
- Schedules and provides administrative support for meetings with external stakeholders and PEO advisory groups, as required, including preparing pre-meeting materials, agendas and recording meeting minutes.
- Provides background research support to the External Relations team as required.
- Completes such other projects and assignments as may be assigned from time to time

**Knowledge of**:

- Demonstrated experience within the fields of public affairs, government relations or stakeholder relationship management.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships that encourage cooperation.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and competing deadlines.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment and able to engage colleagues across departments.
- A professional and proactive work ethic, including the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in different settings.

**Skills and qualifications include**:

- A university degree or college diploma in political science, public affairs, public relations, communications, journalism, or other relevant combination of education and experience.
- Three to five years’ related experience.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).
- French language skills are an asset.
