**Summary Statement**

Under the supervision of the Service Manager**, **the position sources, orders, and receives Heavy equipment parts at Truck & Equipment Solution location and ensures an appropriate level of parts is kept in stock.

**Qualifications**

**Education** **Essential**:
1. Completion of a college diploma in a related field.

2. Heavy Equipment Parts experience.

**Knowledge Essential**:
1. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar or related field.

2. Intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel.

3. Extensive knowledge of Heavy equipment parts and the ordering process in the construction industry.

4. Experience working with multiple vendors.

**Skills and Abilities Essential**:
1. Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).

2. Excellent problem solving skills.

3. Excellent interpersonal skills in order to maintain an excellent rapport with employees, vendors & customers.

4. Detail oriented and excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.

5. Ability to maintain and manage quality standards.

6. Ability to maintain confidentiality of pertinent data.

**Major duties and responsibilities**

1. Orders parts for the service team, customers, and stock.

2. Creates purchase orders and charges parts to work order or inventory.

3. Requests parts; sources, orders, receives, ships and arranges pick-up of parts.

4. Tracks incomplete order status (outstanding orders, backorders, credits, damages, warranties etc.) and follows-up as necessary. Expedites issues to the Service Manager as needed.

5. Distributes parts or stocks on shelves upon receipt.

6. Performs stocking duties; places stock ordered parts in appropriate locations.

7. Maintains the stock order ratio; maintains the parts department clean, orderly, and well stocked.

8. Uses reference materials, catalogs, etc. to source parts.

9. Frequently follows-up with Service Manager, mechanics and vendors on parts status.

10. Notifies the Service Manager of late parts deliveries where repair or service appointment(s) will not run to schedule so as the customer can be notified; this ensures optimum client service.

11. Facilitates with the Service Manager in procuring alternate parts solutions when customers have been offered different options for repairs and/or services, as needed.

12. Liaises with the Service Manager to ensure optimum efficiency and quality of service and customer satisfaction.

13. Manages defective / incorrect parts returns to the vendor and monitors credit for the returns; ensures credits are processed accurately and promptly.

14. Responsible for filtering parts out of the inventory stock shelf for technicians & mechanics use.

15. Ensures the parts area cleanliness is maintained at all times.

16. Completes and submits all paperwork (i.e. time sheets etc.).

17. Maintains a positive working relationship with team members and management in a team environment.

18. Adheres to Governmental rules and regulations, such as WHMIS, pertaining to the safe storage, labeling, usage, handling and disposal of hazardous materials.

19. Maintains an efficient and organized filing system for purchase orders, parts requisitions and work orders.

20. Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with company and departmental policies, procedures and standards.

21. Maintains client and company confidence by keeping information confidential and secure.

22. Sets-up and organizes individual work area with designated supplies, forms and resource materials while maintaining cleanliness at all times.

**Responsibility for Decision Making**:

- Responsible for all decisions in collaboration with the Service Manager.

**Health & Safety Responsibilities**:

- Takes all reasonable precautions and plays an active role to protect the health and safety of employees in the shop.
- Responsible for the maintenance of individual health and safety policies, procedures, standards and practices applicable to the work and activities in the shop.

**Working Conditions**
- Works both indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to lift & carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Time allocated in working environments will vary (i.e. office/shop).

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
