Float Driver

A2B Haulage Inc. was founded in April 2011 with a focus on cargo and freight and is based out of Midhurst, Ontario. Our services include fleet-for-hire and floating. The floating service includes the freight of construction equipment and materials with both short
- and long-hauls. At this time, A2B Haulage Inc. is looking for an experienced AZ Float and/or Flatbed truck driver willing to haul locally, as well as inter-provincially, loading and off-loading heavy construction equipment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate a class AZ vehicle in a safe and responsible manner
- Secure loads with an understanding of over-dimensional loads
- Perform vehicle inspections prior to trip departure and upon return
- Record inspections, loads, and hours and submit daily
- Clean the interior of the truck after each shift
- Capable of performing the physical duties of load securement
- Work in various weather and road conditions
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Communicate well with manager and fellow drivers
- Respect the company’s health and safety standards
- Possess a positive attitude with the desire to perform optimally and provide excellent customer service

**Qualifications**:

- Current AZ class license
- Clean CVOR and drivers abstract
- Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
- Knowledge of the construction industry, tools, and material is preferred
- Experience with the operation of various types of equipment is preferred
- Open to local and long-distance trips
