A2B Haulage, a part of the Arnott Group, is an aggregate cargo and heavy equipment freight company located in Midhurst, Ontario. Our fleet consists of tri-axles, floats, a roll-off and water trucks. A2B Haulage is currently looking for a dynamic individual to join their team in the capacity of Dispatcher. Reporting to the General Manager of A2B Haulage Inc., the dispatcher will be responsible for the scheduling of trucks (owned / brokers) and drivers while providing optimal customer service. The dispatcher will focus on maximum utilization of trucks. The dispatcher will also provide administrative duties for the operations of the business and collaborate with the accounting department.

**Dispatcher**

**Key responsibilities**
- Responsible for answering the dispatch phone
- Determines customer service requirements and determines price of work
- Coordinates and executes all freight/shipping plans for each day
- Establishes rapport with driver force, maintains record to determine driver availability, and provides drivers with necessary supplies
- Monitors each driver for hours of service
- Reviews driver paperwork for completeness and accuracy daily i.e., drivers timecards, bill book tickets, gravel tickets, logs, pre trips and fuel receipts
- Maintains broker relationships and administrative requirements
- Responsible for communication with General Manager regarding maintenance and repair needs
- Monitors GPS and responds to truck or driver issues
- Submits paperwork to Finance for billing
- Orders new supplies when necessary
- Files driver paperwork accordingly
- Builds industry relationships to seek current/future jobs

**Knowledge, skills and abilities**
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Work, Outlook)
- Fast decision-making skills to resolve time-critical issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Proficient knowledge in MTO related laws and regulations is preferred
