**Your Role with Us**:
As the **Assistant Project Manager** at Penalta, you will play a critical role in supporting the Project Manager in overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects. This includes assisting in the coordination of project activities, managing subcontractors, monitoring project progress, and ensuring that all project deliverables are met on time and within budget. You will also be responsible for maintaining effective communication among all project stakeholders, ensuring that project objectives are clearly understood and achieved.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Project Manager in coordinating all aspects of construction projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and subcontractor management.
- Oversee subcontractor performance to ensure work is completed according to schedule and quality standards. Address any issues promptly.
- Track project budgets and costs, ensuring that expenditures are within approved limits. Support the Project Manager in preparing budget forecasts and reports.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and meeting minutes, ensuring all documentation is accurate and accessible.
- Identify potential risks and work with the Project Manager to develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress.
- Assist in the close-out phase of projects, ensuring all final deliverables are completed and handed over to the client.

**What You’ll Bring to This Role**:

- A postsecondary degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of progressive experience as an Assistant Project Manager in commercial construction. Residential experience is an asset.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
