**CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE 1**

**Sample Logistics Department**

The
**Customer Service Representative 1** is responsible for sample receipt, preparation of supplies and shipping related duties for all clients in support of the Sample Logistics Team. This position also includes performing analyses on samples for Total Coliforms and E.coli analysis as well as administrative functions.

The key accountabilities and responsibilities of this position are:

- Greet all clients in a friendly, positive manner
- Receive all external client samples
- Ensure client samples are entered into LIMS and approved in a timely manner according to sample holding time, test code, due date, and/or received date
- Repack samples and arrange for shipments of all samples to the fixed labs.
- Coordinate with external providers such as courier services and hot-shots when required
- Ensure proper daily communication of sample shipments to the fixed labs
- Prepare bottle orders requests and coordinate delivery of bottle orders
- Perform analyses on samples for Total Coliforms and E.coli analysis while following Standard Operating Procesures (SOP's) to ensure accuracy and quality of work
- Understand and troubleshoot analyses and ensuring deadlines are met while following all laboratory safety rules and regulations
- Recognize routine and non-routine problems and escalate to the Supervisor
- Ensure supply inventories are maintained
- Maintain working area in a clean, safe and an organized manner
- Provide support to the Sample Log In team
- Ensure accuracy of results and data entry
- Proactively ensure overall satisfaction of regional client base including communication to project management and supervisor as appropriate
- Work closely with outside sales staff to grow Bureau Veritas’s market share with existing and new clients
- Monitor/Calibrate the temperatures of fridges, thermometers and temperature guns
- Adhere to Bureau Veritas’ quality systems QA/QC, SOPs and external accreditation requirements.
- Adhere to Bureau Veritas’ safety policies.
- All other responsibilities as assigned

Post-secondary education in microbiology or a related discipline
- Experience in a laboratory environment is considered an asset.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
- Ability to work independently as well as engage others when required in escalation of concerns to meet the client needs or to best manage client disappointments
- Energetic and keen with a positive attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking, prioritizing and adapting to changes are required
