**Prop Shop Curator for Hamilton Prop House**

As a Shop Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting customers, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store, handling transactions, and supporting the overall operations of the retail establishment. Your goal is to provide excellent customer service and contribute to a positive shopping experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Customer Service**:

- Answer in person and online inquiries in a timely and effective fashion
- Listen to, suggest, sell and provide knowledgeable answers to clientele questions
- Provide an exceptional customer experience
- **Research, Sales & Marketing**:

- Photograph, measure and create informative and interesting descriptions for furniture, props & wardrobe
- Create unboxing and informative videos for social platforms
- Utilize Google and other search mechanisms to research props, furniture and wardrobe for value, use and restoration.
- Clean and maintain & restore props, furniture and wardrobe
- Assist in setting up displays and promotions to attract customers
- Recommend products based on customer needs and preferences
- **Prop House Management**:

- Manage prop house rentals - pickups and returns
- Reset micro sets with existing props to create seamless customer experience
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Work collaboratively with CEO, Managing Director and other team members to achieve a creative and sustainable workplace/creative hub
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management

**Qualifications**

**Being Tech Savvy is a Must**
- You understand the basics of social platforming and the importance of aesthetics and staying on brand. You are able to upload photos, content and narrative to the Hamilton Prop House websites and social feeds, making sure every detail is on par with the building of a fluent brand. The ability to navigate Hamilton Prop House’s Point of Sale (POS) system “Square”, including adding items, and making sure SKU’s etc.,

**Social Media Superstar**
- You are a writer
- You understand how to market products on social media platforms that tell a story and market a brand
- You understand the need for sustainability in the film and television industry and know how to market upcycled and recycled goods to its betterment.
- Post to Kijiji, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Youtube with ease and efficiency.
- You know how to hustle for it

**Multitasker Extraordinaire**
- Ability to organize, prioritize, multitask, be flexible and meet deadlines.
- Basic computer skills including, Microsoft Suites, G Suites and Canva
- Ability to manage schedules and inventory
- Ability to work autonomously but also be a team player

**Customer Service Pro**
- You understand how to make each customer experience, exceptional
- Manage prop rentals
- Know how to upsell

**Other Things of Importance**
- Must be based in Hamilton
- Flexible hours
- Access to transportation a must - a G license a must

**Starting salary is $44,000.00**

**Salary**: $44,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
