As a Barista at Hamilton Prop House, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and other beverages to our employees, clients, and members. You will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and energetic atmosphere, ensuring that everyone who walks through our doors feels valued and refreshed. This position requires a passion for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic setting.

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and guidelines.
- Operate coffee-making equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and frothers, ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness.
- Greet customers with a friendly and professional demeanor, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organized coffee bar area, including stocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Assist with general tasks around the prop house, such as providing refreshments for events, and supporting the Prop House Crew as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest coffee trends and techniques, continuously improving your skills and knowledge.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately, ensuring proper record-keeping and adhering to company policies.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and a genuine passion for coffee culture.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and maintaining accurate records.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- A collaborative team player who is eager to contribute to the success of the prop house.
