**What Are We Looking For?**
FortisAlberta is looking for a Damage Prevention Assistant to support the Damage Prevention team by reviewing, assessing, and processing locates tickets and work with other Locates Contractors. This position will report to FortisAlberta’s Manager Damage Prevention.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but not limited to)**:

- Assess and interpret information on locates tickets and review FortisAlberta maps to determine if a field locates completion is required or the tickets can be cleared internally.
- Monitor and prioritize locates emergencies.
- Compile, track and update relevant dig up information within 48 hours to ensure costs are billed through.
- Run daily and monthly reports and enter data accurately into various systems.
- Review the effectiveness and efficiency of existing policies, procedures, and practices; recommend and implement approved improvements.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide updates to customers and external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with a variety of internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Perform a variety of administrative duties such as updating the Damage Tracking and multi-Analysis spreadsheets.
- Special projects and duties as assigned.

**What will you bring to the Role?**
- Customer service focus supported by solid organizational and time management skills to prioritize numerous locates requests and competing demands.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Office, SAP, ESRI Maps and AM/FM.
- Understanding of the integration of existing GIS and related technologies and reporting tools.
- Basic understanding of electrical system function and distributions.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders; this includes good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated initiative in recognizing opportunities for improvement and efficiency in processes and practices.
- Proven ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Demonstrated experience providing time-sensitive solutions
- Solid ability to distill complicated information into interesting and easily readable key messages, document repository sites, and relevant technical documents
- Good working knowledge of SharePoint, including functions as a user and site administrator

**Qualifications we are looking for**:

- A High School Diploma plus three (3) years of Experience in an administrative role is required; a diploma, degree, or certificate in Business Administration or a related discipline would be preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably within the electrical/energy industry, would be an asset.
