About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Specialist to join our team at Elite Interiors Systems Inc. as a Drywall Installer and Finisher.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster to create a durable and long-lasting surface.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces to prevent damage and ensure a strong bond.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and prevent damage.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required.
  • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets to ensure a precise fit.
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices and trim to add a touch of elegance.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists to ensure a stable structure.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow the coat to dry to prevent damage.
  • Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings to create a unique design.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to ensure a strong bond.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

  • Handling heavy loads to ensure safe and efficient installation.
  • Manual dexterity to handle tools and materials with precision.

  • Standing for extended periods to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Work under pressure to meet deadlines and ensure a high level of quality.
Weight Handling
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) to ensure safe and efficient installation.
Own Tools/Equipment
  • Hard hat to ensure safety on the job site.
  • Safety glasses/goggles to protect eyes from debris.
  • Steel-toed safety boots to prevent foot injuries.
