**Summary**
Reporting to the Central Materials planning Manager and working closely, cross functionally with other teams in the supply chain planning department, the Materials Planner will be the central point of contact for all bakeries across Canada for end to end material management needs. The key performance indicator for this position will be the efficient and timely materials flow across network bakeries in North America.
**Primary Responsibilities**
- Proactive review of materials coverage across multiple bakeries, establishing and monitoring ordering policies for each site
- Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products
- Liaising with internal facilities network, suppliers, 3PL and transportation providers to ensure on time and in full supply to all manufacturing sites
- Working with various teams to build centralized materials planning for various facilities
- Restructure existing supply network to find optimization of material distribution and supply costs, materials storage, and space utilization amongst multiple facilities
- Maintain visibility over entire network of materials supply as well as 3PL to ensure 0 stockouts and no interruption to supply based on the total buy plan needs
- Establish and maintain inventory policies for purchased and transferred materials amongst multiple facilities and 3PL. Analyze required space for materials movement and ensure best space utilization across multiple facilities
- Serves as first escalation point to address any potential or existing material shortages within the network
- Continually analyzes improvements required in the process flows to ensure optimal costs for material movements and cost savings by removing redundancies
- Analyzing various and ambiguous data points, inclusive of various planning and ERP systems in order to establish and monitor KPIs within the function
- Constantly reviewing safety stocks, re-order points, lead times, replenishment cycles to ensure that the seasonal requirements of the business are met
- Cleaning up systemic inefficiencies on a continuous basis to ensure that the material demand and requirements flow correctly through the ERP systems
**About You**
- A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Materials Management, Business, Operations Management or equivalent
- Knowledge in SAP ERP for manufacturing is an asset
- Exceptional analytical skills (fluent excel), must be able to analyze ambiguous data and develop range of solutions
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, to help communicate process changes, daily task requirements across the network
- Passionate and desire to work and learn about the food manufacturing industry and innovation
- Ability to work in a start-up and team-based culture, working as a team to deliver outstanding results
