3pl Account Executive

**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and manage your own book of business through business to business cold calling
- Follow up with new and existing clients to provide freight solutions and close deals
- Prospect for new business
- Negotiate rates with carriers
- Coordinate with Account Managers and Logistics Coordinators to ensure client needs and expectations are met
- This role is responsible for evaluating carrier options and arranging the movement of freight for our customers, ensuring service quality metrics are achieved to support both customer and Orca Transportation. Total customer satisfaction is our ultimate goal and this team works to link communication, solution and action between all parties.
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities to achieve revenue targets
- Conduct market research to identify potential customers and competitors
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction
- Provide excellent customer service and support throughout the sales process
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions
**Experience**:
- OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma) or equivalent
- Familiar with various software's including Sales force, ITS Dispatch, Truckstop, Load link is an asset
- Comfortable with basic programs such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook & Word
- Advanced time management
- Keen attention to detail
- The willingness to learn the ins and outs of a niche industry
- The ability to connect with people
- Determination
- A go-getter attitude
- Minimum 2 years experience working in supply chain logistics environment
- Knowledge of transportation management systems
- Familiarity with freight, logistics, and supply chain operations
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to analyze market trends and identify business opportunities
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
