**Who You Are**

You are an IT professional with demonstrated knowledge of and experience in networking, service, desktop, and cloud systems. You are able to prioritize your duties and work with minimum supervision. You have great interpersonal skills with a “customer service” orientation. Ideally, you have an interest in conservation and saving the world’s ocean.

**Role Summary**

**What You’ll Be Doing**

**_ Provide maintenance and support for office network, remote workers and systems by_**:

- Managing the Jira Service Management ticketing system by triaging and working tickets that are assigned or self-assigned.
- Providing desktop support on Microsoft Windows and MacOS Desktops, including and deploying system configuration with device management using Microsoft Intune;
- Creating and updating user and system documentation, processes and procedures in Atlassian Confluence;
- Maintaining accurate and timely Software and Hardware Inventory Control;
- Managing the entire device lifecycle for on-site and remote devices including procurement, distribution, refresh, inventory, recall and disposal. Deliver devices in person on-site and via courier for remote workers.
- Providing AV support including microphones, mixers and projectors as well as occasional live event support for hybrid meetings;
- General hardware and systems maintenance;
- Other related IT services, as required.

**_ Help with planning and implementing new IT infrastructure services as required by_**:

- Providing feedback for improvements for the use of the present systems and equipment;
- Working with the Director of IT to plan and implement new systems and technologies as required.

**_ Other duties and responsibilities as needed, including but not limited to:_**
- Participating in cross-training developmental opportunities with the other members of the IT group;
- Providing IT support for all other technologies, including payment technologies, AV technologies and Office tools, in use at the organization, as needed.
- Ensuring that Ocean Wise staff can make the best use of their computer resources by providing technical support and user training;
**How You’ll Be Measured**
- You provide timely and accurate desktop, software, and user support
- You demonstrate your knowledge and experience in Systems Administration
- You manage your assigned and triaged tickets through feedback, documentation and timely resolution.
- You manage your assigned projects and meet milestones and deadlines while communicating outcomes with your Director

**What You Bring**
- Technical college diploma in computer / information technology, or equivalent;
- Minimum three years technical and systems management in a similar role or equivalent experience;
- Intermediate Microsoft system/network administration (Entra, Intune, 365, Exchange, Sharepoint, Teams);
- Intermediate Network Administration (Cloud managed Switches, Firewalls, POE and Wireless);
- Solid working knowledge of Windows Desktops (Windows 11, MacOS, IOS and Android),
- Experience with participating in projects and system implementation preferred
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem solving;
- Good interpersonal skills;
- Ability to support and train end users;
- Ability to effectively work in a team;
- Ability to prioritize and work with minimum supervision;

**Where and How You’ll Be Working**

This is a hybrid role with a requirement to work out of our downtown Vancouver office a minimum of 3 days/week. You will be working in a shared office environment with the usual ergonomic risks. This job requires the ability to safely reach, stretch, and bend on a regular basis. Frequent lifting, standing, and walking is required in this role.
