**Job Summary**:

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Serve as the first point of contact for end users seeking technical assistance through a ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot issues, assess customer priority and impact, prioritize, and give in-person, hands-on support to end users when necessary.
- Gather customer needs, provide consultations, educate, and record all interactions in ticketing system.
- Manage all incoming IT requests and serve as the point of escalation for unsolved or complex tickets to Tier 2 and 3 by utilizing incident and problem management processes and best practices and monitor progress of assignments.
- Responsible for workstation set up and IT onboarding of new hires.
- Responsible for system administration of user accounts, access, and system permissions.
- Responsible for hardware and software support, installation, and troubleshooting for all standard BCIB technologies Serve on the Change Control Board (CCB).
- Maintain and track IT hardware (laptop, tablets, cell phones).
- Responsible for ensuring workstations are patched with the latest Microsoft updates. Participate in on-call rotation.
- Lead small-scale IT infrastructure projects to deliver new deployments, upgrades, peripheral and desktop infrastructure.
- Participate in project work and operational support, as necessary.
- Assist with IT Operations assignments as required.

**Qualifications, Skills & Years of Experience**:

- Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required.
- Microsoft Windows certification.
- 2+ years of directly relevant experience.
- An Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

**Preferred Skills**:
Technical Skills:

- Diagnosis and remediation of laptops, desktops workstations, hardware, software troubleshooting and Desktop Images.
- Windows Server OS (2008 R2 and later)
- Windows domain environments operations (Active Directory / Group Policy, Windows Update, imaging, and backups, DHCP and DNS)
- Troubleshooting of network services including CIFS/NFS, Mail, Web, LDAP
- Configuring basic networking (Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP, VPN client software, 2FA, HTTPS, TCP/IP, UDP, SIP, etc.)
- Installation and troubleshooting of Office 365 and Microsoft Exchange 2016
- Cloud services such as AWS and Azure
- Mobile device management
- Atlassian suite is an asset, particularly JIRA administration.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce, Oracle NetSuite, WordPress, SQL, MS Great Plains, etc.
- Basic understanding of Audio-Visual technology used in boardroom and meeting rooms.
- Proven work experience in IT
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic as well as complex technical issues.
- Ability to escalate issues when required.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**:

- This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

**Work Schedule**:
**Full time** 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday

**Hybrid** - This position will be expected to be in office Monday - Thursday, but offers the flexibility of working remotely within Vancouver, BC on Fridays.
