Learning Consultant

We're looking for a learning consultant to help us develop, manage and facilitate content and programs for the entire organization. The programs may include orientation, professional development courses, DE&I offerings and Stretch. You will collaborate with your team, the wider people team and stakeholders across the business to support employee and career development and performance achievement. While based in Hootsuite's Toronto or Atlanta office (post COVID-19) or remotely across Ontario, you will report to the Senior Director, Learning & Development.
**WHAT YOU'LL DO**:
- Both independently and in collaboration with the learning team, facilitate engaging and effective learning content for a wide range of stakeholders across multiple geographic locations in multiple mediums (face-to-face, virtual, on-demand)
- Actively engage with the learning team to maintain, enhance and manage learning content to support high visibility and high impact learning initiatives
- Perform full scope of responsibilities in managing Hootsuite's LMS (Workday learning) through building learning schedules, enrolling participants, allocating assignments, collating feedback and reporting on key metrics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and Senior Learning Consultants to support the design and creation of appropriate learning programs that target systemic challenges within their business
- Partner with Senior Learning Consultants and People Partners (HRBPs) in identifying and implementing effective performance improvement, employee engagement and career development programs to meet business objectives.
- Other Ad Hoc projects/support as needed
**WHAT YOU'LL NEED**:
- Business, HR or related degree; typically with 5-8 years experience in learning and development plus 5+ years related experience
- Demonstrated skill in identifying a desired outcome and determining the most effective way to teach behaviours and skills to achieve that outcome
- Technical expertise in facilitation and classroom management
- Process/Project Management: skilled at figuring out and managing the processes and timelines necessary to get work accomplished
- Collaboration and Teamwork: works with others to deliver results, meaningfully contributing to the team and prioritizing group needs over individual needs
- Commitment to Results: consistently achieves results, demonstrating high performance, and challenging self and others to deliver results
- Problem Solving: uses an organized and logical approach to find solutions to complex problems. Looks beyond the obvious to understand the root cause of problems
