- Reporting to the VP of Supply Chain and Operations, they are responsible for setting, implementing and improving a Quality Management System, inclusive of establishing and tracking all related KPI’s. They will drive continuous improvement through their leadership of a team of quality controllers. Developing programs to reduce errors and improve efficiency, while ensuring adherence by the supply base, both domestic and abroad._
- **Standard Job Duties**_
- _Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes_
- _Devise and review specifications for products or processes_
- _Set requirements for raw material for suppliers in coordination with Engineering team and monitor their compliance_
- _Supervise inspectors, technicians and other staff and provide guidance and feedback_
- _Manage NCR process and lead defective materials inventory reduction process_
- _Assist in product development to identify quality risks_
- _Coordinate incoming, in-line, outbound inspection staff_
- _Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis_
- _Assist production team with establishing processes that build quality into each step of the operation_
- _Perform vendor audits/assessments_
- **Requirements**_
- _7+ years in a progressive quality assurance role, with exposure to manufacturing_
- _Ability to communicate with vendors both domestic and abroad_
- _Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively work with many levels and types of people_
- _Capable of managing multiple challenging assignments concurrently_
- _Track record of process improvement_
- _Effective problem solver_
- _Self-managed_
- _Flexibility of working hours to allow for communication overseas to occur when needed (due to time zone differences)_
