Reporting to the Director, Student Success & Services The incumbent will coordinate and be responsible for the development and delivery of co-curricular engagement and recognition as well as student leadership development.
The officer’s work is critical in helping to build the foundation for the development of co-curricular experiential learning pathways through which SLC students can develop integrated human skills and position themselves for personal, academic and professional success.
More specifically, the Officer will:
- Facilitate the college-wide implementation and evaluation of all aspects of the SLC co-curricular experiential learning program. This includes but is not limited to: partnering with experiential learning sponsors in program development and evaluation, data and information management, co-curricular program marketing and promotion, liaison with third-party service providers, reporting of program outcomes and impact.
- Manage co-curricular experiential learning systems and databases, including ensuring information is available to program sponsors, college employees and students, to facilitate self-navigation of co-curricular experiential learning pathways
- Coordinates support to all key stakeholders including but not limited to informational sessions, assessment support, and training for student leadership/peer programs.
- In partnership with the SLC Marketing, executes marketing and communication strategies to promote co-curricular student engagement.
- Facilitates all aspects of the College’s Student Leadership Program including the development of a student leadership programing model that may include delivery of workshops, sessions, symposiums, academies, and recognition. This model may further include development for student leaders who are employed by the College.
- Chairs cross departmental/divisional committees for Co-Curricular and Student Leadership Development to support college wide advancement.
The incumbent will be responsible for program delivery and logistics, as well as the marketing and assessment of the above noted student life initiatives. The Officer will work cooperatively with key stakeholders across the college to ensure program success. This role plays a pivotal role in maintaining and elevating current best practice research surrounding Co-Curricular Programming, Student Leadership, and preparing our students for success through meaningful employment experiences on campus.
**Qualifications**:
**Education and Experience**:
A minimum of a 3-year diploma/degree in Education, Psychology, Public Relations, Social Work, Human Resources, Human Development, or Leadership Theory/Student Development Theory.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in demonstrated ability and proven success within the field of student services/student affairs at a post secondary institution. Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds. Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a complex environment. Experience, and demonstrated effectiveness, in developing, implementing, and evaluating student programs and training modules. Experience with data gathering and analysis. Experience with developing, delivering, and evaluating workshops.

**Physical/Work Environment Essential Requirements**:
The successful incumbent must have the ability to report to the work location or work temporarily from a remote location with reliable internet access, as approved by the College and in accordance with the college’s Telework Policy
