Under the general direction of the Executive Director the incumbent has the overall responsibility for the accurate and timely preparation of budgets, financial statements, tax fillings, data entry, management of accounts payable and oversight of accounts receivable, charitable receipting, collections, invoices, and reconciliation of the financial system with our customized membership database. The role maintains and supplies appropriate financial and corporate records to funding partners, federal, provincial, and municipal governments, other regulatory bodies and granting agencies as determined by the Executive Director. The role also maintains the organization’s Human Resource Information System and works with third party providers to ensure the organization’s payroll and benefit needs are effective and efficient.

This role oversees information technology suppliers, service contractors, property maintenance, office equipment and other third-party contractors, vendors, and suppliers. Additionally, the role provides senior administrative support and advice to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors to carry out the requirements of the organization. This role also oversees the Coordinator, Membership Services and Reception/Office Assistant position.

This role would appeal to someone that enjoys building and creating new systems, deploying new technology and processes, has a strong customer service ethos and attention to detail. This role blends an understanding of finance and senior administrative functions for a strategic purpose. This role will have the ability to shape budget and program/service offerings within a large recreational, sport and agricultural industry setting. This role is based in Aldergrove, but the organization does offer flexible schedules and the ability to work from home one to two days per week. This role would be ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career and enjoys working and supporting within a team environment to achieve strategic results.

Applicants should have a minimum of:

- Completion of a university degree or college diploma in a field related to business, finance, accounting, administration or similar.
- Minimum of 5 years finance or bookkeeping experience in a variety of delivery areas.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in managing office and administrative functions.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in working in a not-for-profit setting, supporting an Executive Director and Board of Directors.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in reviewing, developing, and implementing systems for an organization experiencing significant change.

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Satisfactory Criminal Records Check and proof of vaccination against COVID-19.
