**Position Summary**:
The incumbent supports the School of Makeup and Esthetics by coordinating the operation of the Spa through the development of standards and processes, leading scheduling logistics, coordinating product/equipment acquisition and ensuring that the Spa’s infection prevention and control (IPAC) protocols comply with Public Health - Body Safe Standards for Personal Service Settings (PSS).

**Key responsibilities**:

- Coordinates and oversees the operation of the Spa by arranging and monitoring schedules for student and co-op placement in the spa and the offering of client services.
- Resolves customer complaints and schedules conflicts.
- Monitors and analyzes inventory/equipment needs - sourcing, obtaining quotes and placing orders or providing procurement information to staff as needed.
- Coordinates repairs and maintains spa equipment, ensuring mínimal interruption to service schedules.
- Assists in developing educational programs and materials in consultation with Manager and Instructors.
- Makes recommendations for change regarding curriculum and/or protocols based on observations and experiences in the Spa.
- Designs and facilitates workshops/events for internal and external clients.
- Supports students during clinical hours by preparing the Spa prior to clinic hours by ensuring product, equipment and facilities are ready and organized for scheduled services.
- Ensures a safe environment in compliance with infection control procedures/protocols.
- Provides support for front line staff including scheduling appointments and processing payment.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Educational and Experience Requirements**:

- One-year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution in Medical Esthetics.
- CPR and Emergency First Aid/AED Level C is required.
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience working in a spa and has experience in performing a wide variety of services on clients, including medical esthetics.
- Experience in using client management software (such as Milano Spa) for scheduling and reconciling payments.
- Demonstrated knowledge in Toronto Public Health infection prevention and control (IPAC) protocols and Body Safe Standards for Personal Service Settings (PSS).

**Skills and Attributes**:

- Excellent coordination, planning, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
- Able to lift over 20 kg or 44 lbs (organizing storage room, moving deliveries, lifting water jugs, etc.).
- Demonstrated communication, collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal skills at a professional level.
- Demonstrated commitment to uphold the College’s priorities on diversity and equity.

**Interview process may consist of a practical skills component.**
