CS Canada functional safety and certification office provides support in all the phases of developing a functional safety relevant project, implying the usage of functional safety standards. The group is comprised of functional safety experts and professionals certified by TÜV. It is a multidisciplinary group with system, software, hardware, Verification, safety and cybersecurity engineers to tackle any functional safety challenges from the Railway, Automotive and Aerospace industry.

Today we are looking for a functional safety engineer intern to join this team and get the chance to be involved on advanced systems such as ADAS, Autopilot and many more.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare safety and security analysis in accordance with ISO 26262, IEC 61508, J3061 and ISO 21434 for complex systems, HW and SW in view of improving the design proposing safe and secure implementations
- Establish plans for compliance with the applicable functional safety and cybersecurity standards.
- Give guidance on how to perform functional safety activities such as Work products development or Safety analysis (TARA, HARA, System-FMEA, SW-FMEA, DFMEA, FMEDA, FTA, DFA)
- Participate in technical discussion as part of business development efforts.
- Perform reviews on functional safety and cybersecurity work products

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical of software engineering, in progress or completed
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 or other similar security standards: IEC 61508, EN50128
- Knowledge of ISO21434 or other similar cyber security standards
- Knowledge of the V-Development lifecycle of a system, hardware or software (requirements, design, implementation, verification and testing)
- Experience in a position requiring an excellent understanding of embedded hardware and software as well as the overall system
- Curiosity, autonomy, proactivity and ability to find innovative solutions and compromises
- Interest in risk management is an asset
