**Gabriel Pizza Antigonish**:
Is looking for a dynamic and growth oriented Assistant General Manager who brings out the best in our team, can motivate and inspire to WOW our guests every time.

**Position Description**:
Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead, support and manage a dedicated team of approximately 35 employees, working effectively and cooperatively with others, establishing and maintaining good working relationships through building trust, treating others with respect and demonstrating integrity.

**Some of the Responsibilities and Duties will include**:

- The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the General Manager by being accountable and responsible for the restaurant, meeting the expectations of operational efficiency, 100% superior customer service and satisfaction, community relations, and employee development.
- Encourage and assist with the development of restaurant personnel through the administration of schedules, training and coaching
- Recruiting, supervising, and training new staff members
- Maintain and demonstrate professional work ethics and a positive attitude at all times
- Responsible for handling daily cash reporting and completion of required financial management forms and reports, as required.
- Working with management to deliver and execution of marketing initiatives and promotional strategies
- Oversee staff compliance with all service, health, cleanliness and procedural standards to control proper execution.
- Ensure restaurant adheres to all legislative and government guidelines (i.e. proper and safe food and beverage service, AGCO, Occupational Health & Safety Act, WHMIS, Human Rights Act, Labour Standards Code, etc.); ensure all food safety guidelines met and followed daily

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Demonstrated ability to attract/retain excellent performers - develop high performing teams
- 3+ years in the hospitality industry
- 3+ years in a leadership role
- High school graduate
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management an asset
- Extensive knowledge of restaurant operations including food and beverage product and fundamental restaurant accounting practices
- Strong business acumen, including an understanding of budgets, operating costs
- Self-motivated with excellent organization, communication, leadership and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/Work/Outlook) and P.O.S. system
- Detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task and improvise, while maintaining required standards and systems
- Our Managers work flexible shifts a minimum of 5 days per week, approximately 48 hours per week
- Flexibility to workdays, evenings, weekends, holidays and special events as required to meet operating and project demands
- Smart Serve certification
- Food Handlers certification
- First Aid and CPR certification
