Ashfield Engage is looking to hire a Key Account Manager (KAM) in Rheumatology, that is a proven specialty representative with a track record of meeting the needs of orthopedic surgeons, Sports Medicine specialists, Rheumatologists and GPs. The KAM is responsible of driving awareness of osteoarthritis and treatment among the HCPs in the assigned territory in addition to being responsible to develop and execute robust and patient-focused business/Key Account plans aligned to brand strategy with a focus on orthopedic surgeons, Sports Medicine specialists, Rheumatologists and GPs within their own geography (major accounts). They will also be working with different stakeholders (internal and external) to build a common plan with the objective of answering the customer/clinic needs.

The KAM will interact with HCPS and key clinic staff with a blend of field, virtual and digital through Omnichannel engagement to promote an osteoarthritis medication from a well-recognized innovative pharma company. The KAM will build an understanding and demonstrate an awareness of the customer’s needs The KAM will be reporting into the Ashfield Regional Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop comprehensive and insights-driven key account plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams, adapting and capturing new opportunities to deliver value to customers
- Implement territory plan, aligned to brand strategies, support customer needs to maximize short
- and long-term sales performance, while seeking new opportunities.
- Differentiate the osteoarthritis medication value proposition with healthcare providers via an omnichannel approach, leveraging digital to communicate appropriate clinical, technical, therapeutic, disease state and product information
- Build and maintain strong, mutually beneficial networks and trustful relationship with both internal and external stakeholders with the goal to improve patient care. Build rapport and relationships by interacting effectively with internal and external stakeholders (i.e., HCP and office staff) at all levels, discovering and demonstrating awareness of their needs and responding with the appropriate actions.
- Meet/exceed sales interaction objectives, performance targets and key performance indicators while effectively managing resources, in a manner compliant with client standards and policies
- Continuously build understanding of customer needs, the competitive environment and healthcare systems and share market intelligence with Area Business Manager and respective team members
- Review weekly/monthly data reports to analyze performance, identify trends and adapt plans to capture new opportunities, and or to address concerns.
- Perform all duties aligned to client policies and all applicable laws and regulations.

Job Holder Specifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required (science/business degree preferred)
- 5+ years of customer facing experience within the pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry with a strong track record of success
- Experience in the therapeutic area(s) of Rheumatology, Sports Medicine or Orthopedics is a strong asset
- Excellent presentation skills; Proven ability to communicate a message in an articulate & professional manner
- Dynamic, enthusiastic, and passionate individual
- Excellent business acumen, analytical skills, and strategic thinker
- Strong account management skills as well as proficient use of business tools and digital technology
- Flexibility, agility, and ability to pivot to capture new opportunities, leverage new technology, adapt to new processes
- Results oriented and team player
- Positive impact and influence on others, ability to quickly establish credibility while building strong business relationships
- Computer literacy; Proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Valid driver’s license and in good standing
- COVID-19 Vaccination required. Must be able to provide proof of vaccination upon offer acceptance
