The Crystal Ladder Learning Centre (CLLC) is proud to be expanding and will continue with its dedication to providing innovative educational and social programs. With a holistic approach to Early Childhood Education and Developmental Services, The Crystal Ladder Learning Centre is committed to offering a wide array of programs that foster fun and learning in a safe inclusive environment. We are currently seeking a qualified Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA).

Major Responsibilities:

- To support the recommendations made by SLPs regarding speech and language programming, resources, accommodations, and modifications for students with communication disorders and developmental challenges including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), speech, language, reading, and writing.
- To participate along with a supervising SLP in a multidisciplinary team and family meetings.
- To model language facilitation strategies and the use of visual materials, communication devices/systems to members of the student's team upon request of a SLP.
- To implement, troubleshoot, and support augmentative alternative communication devices.
- To create, SLP department-specific and individualized communication and literacy materials that support a student’s communication and/or literacy development.
- To collect student-specific data as requested by a SLP to help inform the programming recommendations provided.
- To track, inventory and maintain SLP department equipment, materials and resources.
- To demonstrate accountability for CDA professional practice standards and in accordance with established Board policies and procedures.
- To perform other duties as assigned by the Speech-Language Pathologist

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

- Communicative Disorders Assistant graduate certificate is required.
- Must be eligible member of CDAAC.
- Minimum one-year related experience is preferred.
- Proficient verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Knowledge and experience working with AAC Devices
- Knowledge of ABA principles a plus

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
