- The City of North Vancouver is the urban core of the beautiful North Shore and has a long-term vision to be “The Healthiest Small City in the World”, with five key priorities to be a City for People, a Liveable City, a Vibrant City, a Connected City and a Prosperous City.The Public Safety Department, Bylaw Services, is looking for a regular full time Bylaw Enforcement Supervisor to join their team.**Responsibilities**
- In this position, you will supervise the day-to-day activities of Bylaw Services which will involve investigating and processing complaints, administering the bylaw notice adjudication system, supervising a group of Bylaw Enforcement Officers and support staff, as well as assisting other departments with bylaw enforcement matters. Your role will involve considerable public relations contact, which requires exercising considerable independent judgement and diplomacy within a policy, bylaw and regulatory framework.**Requirements**:

- You will have considerable experience in inspectional and enforcement work (bylaws and regulations relating to noise, nuisance abatement, animal control, streets, and traffic). This should include a sound knowledge of court procedures, legality of evidence and the ability to explain and interpret bylaws and regulations to the public, whilst maintaining effective relationships with internal and external contacts. In addition, you will have related supervisory experience and strong supervisory skills which will be important in effectively planning, assigning, supervising and reviewing the work of your team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, as well as a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License.**Compensation**
- $36.39 - 42.96 per hour- (Pay Grade 23 - January 2021 rates)**Hours of Work**
- Any eight and one half (8 ½) consecutive hours, exclusive of an unpaid one-half hour meal break, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00pm with a compressed work schedule. The work week shall consist of any five (5) consecutive days with two (2) consecutive days off. It is anticipated that most shifts will be scheduled Monday - Friday.**Additional Information**
- A further condition of employment is the obtaining and maintenance of an RCMP security clearance.**How to Apply**
