- The City of North Vancouver is the urban core of the beautiful North Shore and has a long-term vision to be “The Healthiest Small City in the World”, with five key priorities to be a City for People, a Resilient City, a Vibrant City, a Connected City and a Prosperous City.- The City of North Vancouver Planning and Development Department is looking for a regular full-time Plumbing & Gas Inspector to join their team.**Responsibilities**
- In this position, you will inspect and report on plumbing systems, sprinkler systems, gas installations; drain tile and damp-proofing installations; hot water heating systems and gas installations. You will also review plans to ensure compliance with applicable codes, acts, bylaws, regulations, and standards; approve or reject work inspected and enforce changes or corrections as required. In addition, you will provide technical assistance to a variety of external and internal contacts and prepare related records, reports and correspondence.**Requirements**:
- You will be required to provide your own transportation in return for reimbursement according to the Vehicle Policy.**Compensation**
- $46.07 - $54.44 per hour + benefits- (Pay Grade 26 - January 2024 rates)**Hours of Work**
- The City of North Vancouver currently works on a compressed work schedule of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with one scheduled day off (Monday or Friday) approximately every 3-week scheduling cycle.**Additional Information**
