The Central Alberta FASD Network is a non-profit organization offering community-based, cost-free programming for individuals impacted by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), their caregivers and the community. We are part of a system wide FASD Network model that has made Alberta a leader in service delivery, both in Canada and internationally. We offer education, prevention, assessment and diagnosis, and outreach and support services. We are seeking to fill a full-time, Resource/Volunteer Coordinator position for Red Deer and Surrounding Area. We envision a future where all individuals and communities impacted by FASD are supported to reach their fullest potential, and there is a continuous reduction in alcohol-exposed pregnancies.

**Job Summary**:
The role of Resource/Volunteer Coordinator executes initiatives in their assigned portfolio to deepen community engagement and generate fundraising revenue for the organization’s overall mission. This role engages and partners with community members impacted by FASD to consistently enhance the access to benefits for these individuals.

**Summary of Duties**:

- Responsible for revenue generation, building and maintaining community relationships, including participants, donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners.
- Recruits and engages community members of teams, individual participants, sponsors, and volunteers, including providing direct stewardship and fundraising coaching.
- Delivers exceptional support to all constituents, including sponsors, donors, and volunteers.
- Assists in planning, promoting, and implementing events and initiatives in the assigned portfolio to meet revenue targets.
- Responsible for creating content for the fundraising page of the website.
- This position reports to the Executive Director.

**Education and Qualifications**:

- Undergraduate degree or diploma in public relations, non-profit management, event planning, or related field and/or comparable experience.
- Has experience and passion for working with fundraising participants, volunteers, and donors.
- Is excellent at communicating, both verbally and written.
- Thrives working in a fast-paced professional environment with specific targets.
- Has a track record of strong customer service skills and ability to steward participants.
- Enjoys working on a team and can build successful working relationships with internal and external partners.
- Maintains confidentiality, with sensitivity to issues of disability and diversity.
- Can work independently, take initiative, and reach out for support when needed.
- A vehicle and valid class 5 driver’s license.

The position is 35 hours/week, Monday - Friday; flexibility will be required and the capacity to work occasional evenings and weekends.
