Technical Sales Representative

AWC Process Solutions Ltd. is a distributor and integrator of industrial process equipment for a variety of industries including pulp & paper, water & wastewater, oil and gas, mining & metals, and chemical manufacturing. AWC is an exclusive distributor of industrial equipment for many world-class manufacturers of pumps, valves, motors & VFDs, and other equipment._
Additionally, this position facilitates order expedites, resolves any problems and finds solutions when needed. Must be knowledgeable of the organization's policies, procedures, practices, products and services.
**Some of the exciting things you will do in this role...**
- Soliciting potential customers for opportunities to provide services and products offered by AWC;
- Providing technical advice to customers and offer services and products to meet their requirements;
- Following up on outstanding leads, quotations, and opportunities;
- Utilizing various software programs used by the company to manage the business, including CRM;
- Traveling throughout Western Canada;
- Make sales calls and presentations to various parties including end users, engineering consultants, contractors, or other types stakeholders;
- Provide all necessary training and support to clients or potential clients to ensure maximum effectiveness when pursuing opportunities;
- Collaborate with AWC management and vendors to help establish and execute a sales goal for the territory;
- Maintain and expand customer base by building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities;
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.

A must _**
- Minimum 2-4 years of related technical, customer service and/or product support experience required
- Strong telephone, active listening, and customer service skills
- Strong research/problem-solving skills with ability to recommend solution (s)
- Strong Microsoft Office, Excel, CDM (Collaboration and Document Management) skills
- Strong ability to explain complex technical information to customers in a way that is easily understandable
- Excellent technical problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management, organizational skills and ability to work independently
