**Black Dog Truck Repair** is a fast growing, family run truck and trailer repair facility located in Leduc AB. We have grown exponentially in the past 5 years from a small 2 bay shop with 3 technicians to a thriving 10 bay full service shop with 18 employees. We are very passionate about being a straight forward, honest shop that provides quality mechanical services and excellent customer service and communication.
**About the Role**

**Role Overview: Service Advisor**
The main responsibility of a Service Advisor is to oversee the daily administrative and communication tasks within the Service Department. Acting as the first point of contact, you represent the company to our customers and play a vital role in their experience. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting and assisting all customers that enter the service area.
- Acting as liaison between the service department and customers.
- Communicating with customers when extra work is required, ensuring that work is authorized.
- Continually following-up on the status of repairs to ensure units will be ready when promised.
- Advising customers of status of repairs and any delays if unit will not be finished when promised.
- Working with service personnel to provide accurate quotes on costs of repairs.
- Providing work orders to Shop Foreman for scheduling and maintaining a digital schedule.
- Reviewing all work orders to ensure all charges are fair, equitable, properly documented, and shop supplies are accounted for before the Service Manager reviews.
- Ensuring all work orders are closed in an expeditious manner within monthly and yearly timelines.
**DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year customer service experience.
- 2 - 5 years prior service department technical experience or mechanical background preferred.
- Energetic and friendly with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and organize workload in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.
