Salary and Benefits
The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
Job Description
As a Journeyman Heavy Duty Truck Technician, you will be responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This includes preparing service documentation in accordance with company policy and performing quality work while adhering to the work assigned to you.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality work without direct supervision and oversee the work of the apprentice assigned to you
- Adjust equipment, and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
- Install new or replacement parts according to specifications
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the work done meets manufacturers' specification and legislated regulations
- Assure completion of all repairs, maintenance requirements, and/or modifications to the truck or other assigned vehicle
- Stay abreast of technology and attend training as it becomes available
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A High school diploma
- A Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician certification with heavy truck experience
- Preferred Heavy Duty Truck dealership experience
- Experience in Dyno operation/troubleshooting and Cummins training would be an asset
