**What you will do**
The Movie Attendant opens and closes the theatre before/after the film. The position holder also performs simple support duties as required. Kitchener Public Library believes in providing a high level of customer service to all members of the community in a way that meets their unique needs, regardless of their age, background, or ability level. This includes customers that may be living with addiction, mental illness or experiencing homelessness.

In this role you will:

- Make announcements and assist with customer questions during films
- Direct customers to seats and amenities
- Operate the house lights, projection screen, projector and sound systems
- Remain alert to identify any issues in audience such as noise or other inappropriate behaviour
- Shelve library materials according to local classification systems.
- Process material using the automatic sorter, clear book bins and organize materials onto book trucks
