**ABOUT NEW WEST METALS (“NWM”)**:
- NWM is a metal distribution company based in Winnipeg, MB serving customers across Canada.
- Customers include metal fabricators, manufacturers, and machining companies,
- Common products: Aluminum, Copper, Brass, Bronze, Stainless Steel, and other specialty goods,

**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
The Inside Sales representative will be responsible for:
- Executing customer order inquiries, including the process of sourcing various materials, as required, and setting/negotiating final pricing for customers,
- Building and fostering strong customer relationships, with a clear strategy to grow the business,
- Proactive sales activities to initiate new orders and to cross-sell across our full product offering,
- Support members of the Sales Team and Management with responding to customer inquiries promptly, with detail and accuracy,
- Manage and assist all walk-in and call-in customer inquiries,
- Processing Purchase and Sales orders with vendors and customers accurately and proficiently,
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task under pressure, while maintaining a high degree of accuracy,
- Working collaboratively with the Freight Coordinator to book and manage supply chain logistics,
- Coordinating with the warehouse regarding all storage, cutting, and handling instructions,
- Communicate with the Sales Team and Management on sales quotes and strategies,
- Build and maintain positive relationships with all colleagues, suppliers, and vendors,
- Work and collaborate with Management to leverage the company’s programs (Ex: ERP),
- Other duties as required.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Minimum of 2 years of sales and customer experience in the metal industry (material supply/sales, manufacturing, fabrication),
- A functional understanding of all specialty metals (Brass, Bronze, Copper, Aluminum, Stainless Steel, etc.), along with essential product knowledge,
- Experience with purchasing functions,
- An understanding of freight costing and coordination,
- Strong business acumen, including an ability to analyze and present multiple variables,
- Positive outlook with an ability to problem-solve and operate independently,
- Customer focus and detailed oriented with an emphasis on planning and organization,
- Experience with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook),
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
- Strong work ethic and dedication to team and individual performance.
- Min. Grade 12 education (or equivalent). Post-secondary education is an asset.
**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:
- Implement appropriate sales strategies to secure new customer orders,
- Prepare pricing strategies, customer quotes, sales & purchase orders, and order confirmations,
- Support the Sales Team and Management with other sales requirements and initiatives
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: From $55,000.00 per year
