**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**:

- Work in a manner that supports collaborative relationships with other AHM team members, the Advisory Committee, and members of the perinatal and Black communities
- Develop detailed project work plans for all aspects of this 18-month project
- Monitor project plan progress, and when needed, adapt timelines to achieve deliverables
- Provide updates on a regular basis to the ED of project progress
- Set up meetings for internal and external stakeholders and consultants and provide meeting support as required
- Provide administrative support for the consultant hiring processes, including searching for prospective consultants to receive project RFPs
- Manage project documents such as contracts, meeting agendas, minutes, etc.
- Lead and/or support regular check in meetings with consultants
- Problem-solve roadblocks to the project’s progress and escalate complex problems to the Executive Director (ED)
- Monitor project timelines including tracking of project deliverables from consultants such as the development of key governance and financial policies
- Track project budget and provide regular reporting to the ED on current and potential variances; and provide administrative support for the processing of incoming invoices
- Post communications to the public on social media as directed
- Produce regular project reports as requested by the ED
- Draft reports for the funder as per project parameters

**Qualifications**
- Must have at least 3 years previous experience with developing project work plans/timelines for multiple interrelated projects, understanding the interplay of project dependencies and able to appropriately assess time to complete various steps.
- A university degree in business administration or commensurate experience is a definite asset
- Experience with government grant administration is a definite asset
- Able to problem-solve routine and non-complex problems that may arise
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate to board, project advisory committee, staff, consultants and stakeholders
- Proficiency in using office software (e.g. Google Docs, Microsoft Office).
- Competency in posting to various common social media platforms.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle time-sensitive tasks.
- Must be willing to support the mission and vision of the organization including the provision of accessible, culturally sensitive and inclusive care to Black women from diverse backgrounds and support for women taking control of their reproductive rights, contraception options and make informed choices about their health.
- Experience working with and/or lived experience with the Black community.
- Interest in supporting a midwifery organization is a definite asset

**Location**: Scarborough, Ontario; this position is a hybrid position with some flexibility to work from home.

This is a **part time contract position (3 days per week)**. The position is available immediately and the contract ends March 31 2026.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 18 months

Pay: $65,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 21 per week
