**Position**:BASE COORDINATOR**
**Location: Smiths Falls / Ottawa - Ontario, Canada**
**Start Date: February/March 2024**
**Contract type: Permanent**

**What you will be doing**:
As the Base Co-Ordinator you will be responsible for all administration at both bases, customer facing operations, customer ‘s satisfaction, quality of the services delivered, fleet interiors according to the company standards and the team and their well-being.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**

**CUSTOMER SERVICE**
- Ensure exceptional service quality to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Oversee pre/post-departure communications.
- Address and resolve customer demands/requests in collaboration with the base and regional managers in serious incidents.

**FINANCES AND ADMINISTRATIVE**
- Manage base accounts, documents, and cash systems.
- Plan team working hours.
- Support base budget management.
- Maintain good relationships with different departments.
- Communicate monthly reports.
- Manage local income (sales of extras).

**FLEET/BASE**
- Ensure all identity documents for boats are in compliance.
- Collaborate with Technicians and Cleaning team to maintain fleet/interior according to company standards.
- Report accidents and issue detailed reports.
- Maintain a welcoming and secure base, ensuring compliance with access regulations.
- Assist with breakdown planning during the season.

**STAFF**
- Ensure staff performs duties correctly and presents themselves well.
- Provide necessary training for staff tasks.
- Manage teamwork planning based on bookings and departures.
- Ensure staff complies with safety regulations and wears necessary equipment.
- Enforce labour legislation.

**COMPANY VEHICLES**
- Ensure company cars are in good condition and compliant with insurance and technical controls.
- Confirm staff is legally authorized to drive company cars.

**PARTICULARITY OF THE POSITION**
- Availability to work on weekends, bank holidays, and school holidays during the season.
- Potential travel to support base operations in Ottawa.

**What we are looking for**:

- Experience in similar industry (Camping, Hotel, Tourist attraction, Restaurant,
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and booking systems.
- Initiative and problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of the hospitality/tourism industry and products.
- Valid driver's license without restrictions.
- Knowledge of inland waterways industry and boats (an advantage).
- Boat license (an advantage).
- **Fully eligible to work in Canada**
