Events Marketing Manager

At ThoughtExchange, the Events Marketing Manager is responsible for the events marketing strategy and execution for virtual and in-person 3rd party event sponsorship opportunities. They ensure that ThoughtExchange’s brand, product and leadership are well positioned to receive significant positive exposure and leads in return for investment. By collaborating effectively across departments, the Events Marketing Manager ensures that all event deliverables and objectives are achieved on time and within budget.

**What you’ll do in this role**:
- Identify and vet third-party events (digital and in-person) that target our customer personas, target account lists and industries
- Create event plans and strategy to positively position the brand, product and executives
- Negotiate event pricing and contracts and coordinate event accounts payable with the finance team
- Project manage and oversee operations of event delivery to post-event review and lead follow-up, with a focus on creating ROI in new business and lateral expansion growth
- Create best practices, train and coach all ThoughtExchange representatives of code of conduct while on-site at an event
- Direct management of in-person, onsite event execution including scheduling, signage, booth builds, branding, furniture, finishings and team
- Lead and formalize post-event debriefs and implement insights to inform future events
- Be the consummate team player by collaborating with all internal team members to execute event plans and achieve pipeline objectivesResponsible for contributing to customer pipeline as a result of successful events
- Forward our Anti-Racism and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (ADEI) mandate by adhering to ADEI principles when planning and delivering events, demonstrating inclusive behaviours, being up-to-date on our ADEI commitments and completing all required ADEI training.
**What we think is true about you**:
- You have a minimum 5 years of work experience, with a minimum of 3 years of work experience in Events Marketing, Project Management or related Marketing experience
- You possess familiarity with the B2B sales process, customer journey, and event marketing impacts on customer pipelines and experience
- You’re a strong written and verbal communicator You possess exceptional organizational and project management skills, with high attention to detail
- You’re an expert problem solver with a go-getter, positive attitude
- You possess the ability to learn quickly and adapt to situations well in a fast paced, changing environment
- You get stuff done effectively and meet deadlines
- You are a people person with a demonstrated ability to collaborate and build relationships externally and internally
- You are able to prioritize and handle a variety of projects simultaneously
- You have foundational proficiency in Excel as you’re managing a budget
- If you have Salesforce, Google Suite and Marketo experience, that’s an asset
