**Job Summary**:
A Chief Inspector oversees and coordinates inspection activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. You will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards through thorough inspections and data analysis. Your expertise in quality control and assurance will play a critical role in maintaining our commitment to excellence. Responsibilities include managing inspection teams, creating and reviewing inspection reports, and implementing corrective actions for identified issues.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement inspection procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulations and standards.
- Supervise and train inspection team members to ensure consistent and accurate inspection practices.
- Manage inspection team priorities across the manufacturing site - from receiving inspection, in-process inspection, NDT and final inspection
- Conduct thorough inspections of parts and assemblies to ensure compliance to customer requirements
- Analyze inspection data and prepare reports on findings, including recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other departments and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure inspection procedures remain current and effective.
- Assist with investigations of accidents or incidents related to safety or quality issues.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues and team members on safety and quality matters
- Verify and approve of incoming materials, tools, in-process parts and finished parts by confirming their conformance to drawings and/or specifications through visual and measurement tests.
- Generate and issue Discrepant Material Reports for non-conforming materials and/or products
- Document inspection results by completing reports such as First Article Reports, Inspection Reports, Quality Forms, etc.
- Use a variety of inspection and measuring equipment to inspect complex part geometry and provide documentation for inspection reports.
- Review and verify certification documentation for compliance to drawings and/or specifications
- Review records, test reports, production forms, etc. for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure all measurement equipment is calibrated on schedule and preventative maintenance is performed as required.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects
- Support and participate in QC activities
- Ensure that processes are carried out carefully and accurately to eliminate errors in according with company procedures.
- Participate as needed in customer, regulatory and internal audits
- Conduct Rockwell and Conductivity testing on materials and parts
- Scan, file and maintain documentation to maintain records and traceability
- Perform training of new and existing employees, as required
- Perform SI&A audits of operators to provide and maintain certification
- Use blueprints, drawings, precision measuring instruments
- Verify materials were used within allotted expiry dates
- Perform freezer checks
- Use and maintain quarantine holding areas
- Perform calculations such as out time on materials, parts and equipment.
- Mutilate or destroy parts and/or materials as needed per engineering and quality disposition
- Ensure parts are properly stored, wrapped
- Perform various tests on primers/paints such as thickness, adhesion, etc. as per customer and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure skin surface meets requirements
- Perform sampling inspection as required
- Support Company Goals and Objectives
- May perform other related duties as required by the company

**Requirements**:

- At least 5 years of experience in inspection of detail parts and assemblies
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team of inspectors with a minimum of 5 years of experience in leading an inspection team
- Strong knowledge of GD&T
- Knowledge of model based definitions and proficiency in CATIA V5
- Able to operate CMM, Faro Arm laser tracker and other similar equipment
- Ability to perform best fit to models to determine compliance of parts with model based definition
- Strong knowledge of industry regulations and standards including ISO/AS quality systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
- Proficiency in using relevant software and equipment
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a related field is preferred
