**What we’re looking for**

We’re looking for a Group Benefits Service Representative to work full-time as part of our insurance team in our new Ontario location (hybrid). This role supports the Sales team in meeting the needs of our Advisors, Plan Sponsors and occasionally Plan Members. Core duties of the Group Benefits Service Representative will include:

- Building relationships with our Advisors to ensure Simply Benefits is always viewed as a valued benefit resource.
- Research queries posed by our Plan Sponsors and/or Advisors by working with Simply Benefits internal teams (Claims, Administration, Billing, Implementation and Contracting)
- Partner with our Group Benefits Account Executives to round out the client experience with service excellence.
- Be resourceful and open to collaborating with teams in other Provinces and time zones.
- Be willing to attend client events and meetings sometimes outside of regular business hours.
- Coordinate delivery of presentations, proposals, renewals and policy change documents in collaboration with the Sales Team
- Coordinate training for Plan Administrators and Advisors as the need arises.
- Deliver monthly reporting from various departments to Simply Benefits Leadership Team
- Follow all organizational procedures and guidelines to perform assigned duties.
- Identify and recommend process improvements.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.

**What you’ll do**

As a key partner in our Sales Team, you will be responsible for supporting our Group Benefits Account Executives in managing their day-to-day inquiries. You’ll be an extension of our Account Executives to support our Advisors, Plan Sponsors and occasionally Plan Members. You’ll respond to queries with urgency and professionalism and look for opportunities to provide best-in-class service. You will help to create new processes and workflows to continuously improve upon the experience that we deliver to our advisor community.

**What you need**
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational and time management abilities
- Understanding of group life and health insurance concepts and product offerings
- Awareness of the group benefit insurance industry
- Deductive reasoning, problem solving ability and flexibility of decision making
- Good interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with technology
- Enthusiasm with an interest in working in a changing environment
- Have obtained or are working towards completing the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or the Group Insurance Certificate Program (Advocis)

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Location**:

- Waterloo Region, Ontario (Hybrid)

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Waterloo, ON N2G 1C5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- benefits administration: 1 year (preferred)
- Microsoft Office: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Waterloo, ON N2G 1C5
