This role is an opportunity in the exciting and fast-growing transportation technology industry. Public transit and Paratransit are being transformed from a system of static, scheduled fixed-routes and manual, labor intensive processes to a dynamic on-demand network of vehicles, and you’ll be one of the pioneers shaping this transformation.

As a Proposal Manager, you’ll be responsible for owning the proposal submission process from end to end. This is a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that requires you to blend project management and writing skills. To be successful you will write and compile exceptional proposals, product documentation, and enhance our internal submission process to help the company to win multi-million-dollar transit projects. You will develop a deep understanding of urban mobility challenges faced by transit operators. You will become an expert on communicating RideCo software’s value proposition and our data-driven approach to transit service design and operation. You will empower our sales and operations teams to be more effective in their roles by shaping RideCo’s message to the market.

**Your day-to-day responsibilities will include**:

- Simultaneously managing several proposals ensuring each submission is complete, accurate, and high quality
- Becoming the expert on each RFP, RFI, and RFQ you work on. You will have the most in-depth understanding of the submission requirements, proposal structure, and necessary forms
- Writing exceptional proposal content that is strategically positioned against the unique needs and objectives of the customer. This will include the translation of technical concepts into concise and engaging narrative form
- Working cross-functionally with sales, product, solutions engineering and customer success teams to compile the necessary material for the submission
- Completing all necessary forms, and ensuring each is signed and included in the submission
- Improving and enforcing style guidelines to ensure consistency in outgoing proposals
- Enhancing internal procedures and document templates
- Managing Freedom of Information Requests to maintain our competitive intelligence
- Create and enhance templates for various types of solution proposals to different customer types
- Enhance standardized workflows to structure the team’s efforts and manage the workflow to incorporate inputs from multiple authors in the right manner, for timely completion of the proposals and mínimal errors
- Maintain a digital knowledge base. Utilize digital tools such as Google Drive, WiKis, FAQs, and knowledge base repositories to manage content in an accessible format for internal and external audiences
- Educate: Continuously expand the collective knowledge-base of the company through multi-disciplinary learning and knowledge sharing

**Preferred qualifications**:

- Education: University degree in Humanities, Science, or related discipline
- Top-notch communicator: Exceptional written communication and presentation skills, with a portfolio that includes proposals, case studies, and process documentation
- Proven Project Management knowledge, skills and experience as well as cross functional collaboration
- Experience in proposal writing, technical writing, or B2B marketing role(s)
- Tools proficiency: comfortable working with production or information management tools such as MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Confluence, knowledge bases, Adobe suite and Salesforce
- Location: Based in Waterloo, Ontario, or willing to relocate
