Our Team is growing and we are seeking an eager and engaged **Area Sales Coordinator** (based onsite) with a positive and proactive approach to represent the Residence Inn Marriott Toronto Airport and Courtyard Marriott Toronto Airport Hotels.

Reporting to the Area Director of Sales & Marketing, the Area Sales Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the coordination of administrative tasks and implementation of sales initiatives to exceed Hotel goals.

**RESPONSIBILITES**:

- Organize and streamline daily, weekly and monthly reporting processes.
- Maintain accuracy of data across several documents and systems
- Respond to client calls and special requests Regularly follow-up with clients and maintain accurate and updated information.
- Monitor/respond/distributes RFPs within 1 business day by qualifying and assigning to the deployed sales manager; preparation of proposals and contracts; reports; managing room block inventory deadlines; informing clients of important deadlines.
- Resolve requests and/or complaints to the satisfaction of the guest; inform supervisor of major problems, complaints, disturbances or dissatisfied clients.
- Key Delphi operator-assist with reporting, updates merge agreements in Delphi, entering turned down business into Delphi
- Prepare site - show rooms, signs
- Prepare sales kits and maintain collateral supplies
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Coordinate details with other departments such as VIP amenities, special requests, or other service needs or special handling.
- Handle walk-in inquiries; Direct sales inquiries to the appropriate sales manager
- Maintain and co-ordinate sales programs and procedures (ex. Creation of flyers/fact sheets,
- Identify and qualify prospective business from both existing and potential client base for the sales manager to close
- Proactive and Reactive selling by actively soliciting and securing business following hotel and brand standards; proactively sell and upsell which meet the client’s needs and maximizes the hotel revenues
- Participate and prepare in Sales initiatives; including sales and catering meetings; taking minutes; reporting
- Support Director of Sales & Marketing and Sales Managers in obtaining contract confirmation / signatures / methods of payment / create group and transient booking links / manage and process group commissions and points
- Contact client after scheduled functions to ensure satisfaction and to solicit rebooking
- Actively cross sell the Atlific Hotels portfolio
- All other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in Hospitality or Tourism is desired
- Proficiency in the English language both written and verbal
- Proficient with number and dedication to accuracy
- Previous hotel experience in Front Office or Reservations is desired
- Previous experience working with hotel FOSSE and/or Delphi is desired
- Minimum of 1 years of Sales or Front Office experience in hospitality industry
- Superior time management/priority management; organization; proactive planning
- Mature, energetic, detailed oriented, organized and well-developed sales skills including negotiation, prospecting,
- Ability to work independently and as part of a Team
- Commitment to exceptional customer service
