**Position Summary**

The Manager, PMO is responsible for managing governance standards across the College, and analyzing complex and ambiguous college-wide project documentation, progress checks and reports. They will lead and advise the PMO services team in developing and maintaining PMO processes. This will enable project collection and project management tools to be used effectively in leading regular project and program level reporting cycles to mitigate risks associated with development and implementation of large-scale project management solutions. Further, the Manager, PMO will be responsible for supervising and managing the College-wide implementation of the project management tool and repository software.

The Manager, PMO will be facilitating all necessary consultations, determining priorities for services, negotiating alignment of processes, and establishing common policies and best practices to ensure achievement of strategic goals related to the College’s vision and mission. Lastly, they will also be responsible, articulate and motivated to quickly identify vulnerabilities and obstacles, and then create innovative solutions to any problems.

**Responsibilities**
- Manages the PMO service team, to support all Program/Project Managers/Project Leads with methodologies, tools, techniques, training, communication, processes and procedures.
- Provides expertise and specialized leadership in the field of project management to all College staff (management, faculty, support staff, and contracts) and promotes improved alignment and integration of project risk management and control monitoring activities enterprise-wide.
- Ensures the implementation of standardized project management methodology, structure and processes.
- Collaborates with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to assess the adequacy of existing project management methods and practices by benchmarking existing practices against established standards in order to identify and analyze gaps (i.e., misalignment between the project team and client business; failure to adequately identify, document, and track project requirements and scope)
- Participates in the identification and implementation of skills enhancement strategies, staff learning and development, assignment of PMO service resources/work, and recommending performance measures and standards. Mentors stakeholders to maintain up-to-date skills.
- Manages the coordination, monitoring and tracking of all project status and information to provide advice and direction through analysis.
- Leads the Project Management Community of Practice and other stakeholder forums to enhance the Project Management culture throughout the organization.
- Participates in the development of strategic business plans for the PMO department, and sets realistic goals by developing appropriate strategies for services provided by the PMO.
- Develops, fosters and manages effective relationships with senior management and project managers to facilitate cooperative approaches to the implementation of project management methodology, processes and procedures.
- Produces and maintains documentation to support large-scale project management mechanisms, tools, techniques and processes.
- Manages the collection, analysis and distribution of all project-related information to Senior Leadership and the Executive Team.
- Provides coaching and mentoring to team members and College staff about every aspect of the project management Evaluates the progress of projects on a regular basis to monitor the projects.
