**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a construction project coordinator with excellent organizational and communication skills to join our team for mid-rise condominium projects. As a construction project coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing various aspects of the project to ensure timely, budgeted, and quality completion. This position offers the opportunity to participate in exciting construction projects, develop personal skills, and collaborate with a professional team.

**Job description**:
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Construction Project Coordinator is responsible for a broad range of duties.
- Able to read construction working drawings including and not limited to architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, landscape, civil engineering drawings
- Act as a project representative at kick-off and project review meetings with architects, engineers, consultants, site staff and subcontractors
- Prepare, administer, and submit construction project budget estimates, construction schedules, and project timelines, ensuring profitability targets are achieved for the project
- Support construction activities throughout the project lifecycle including analyzing tender scope, specifications, and drawings
- Manage and direct project teams through communication, coordination, and follow-up
- Hire trades and required contractors to facilitate the construction
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports including financial and progress reports
- Assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings
- Participate in field surveys, inspections or technical investigations

**Education**:

- Degree in Civil Engineering or another construction-related field of education
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
- Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association

**Experience**:

- 3 years’ minimum experience in civil, structures and/or buildings estimating within the construction industry; previous experience with mid-rise and high-rise building construction is a MUST.
- Experience working on large scale projects, including design-build

**Skills**:

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to drive project schedules
- Strong understanding of schedule and budget managing
- Solid understanding of current construction practices; strong working knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications and project management
- Proven ability to guide safe work practices in a high-pressure environment while maintaining project quality, schedule and budget
- Capable of anticipating constructability issues in complex situations and creating solutions in the construction plan and schedule
- Ability to use AutoCAD, Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiar with scheduling software
- Must have and maintain a valid provincial G class driver’s license

**Travel**:
Day travel might be required within Ontario to our different offices and construction sites.
