**Cloud and Network Services**

**The team you will be a part of**
- The BA Security business line provides cloud-based products like Privileged Access Management, Endpoint Security, Security Operations, and Digital Identity to Communication Service Providers and Enterprises worldwide. The engineering team uses the latest cloud technology, including Kubernetes, docker, Java, Postgres, Kibana, MariaDB, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Javascript, and more.**Position: Malware Research Assistant Co-op/Intern**
Duration: 4 months
- Date: Sept 5 - Dec 22, 2023
- Location: Flexible (Hybrid in Ottawa, Canada or Virtual in Canada)

**What you will learn and contribute to**
- As part of the team, you will:

- Run malware samples in a sandboxed environment.
- Review the detection signatures for accuracy and quality.
- Analyze the network traffic generated by the malware.
- Develop new detection signatures

**Your skills and experience**

**Education Requirements**
- You have:

- Experience in a Linux-based software development environment
- Experience in an Android software development environment
- Experience with Object Oriented Design and Programming in C, C++, Java, and/or PHP

It would be nice if you also had:

- Experience with and knowledge of TCP/IP protocols
- Experience or knowledge of intrusion detection and prevention, malware analysis, anti-virus, firewalls and security information management systems
