**Job Summary**:
The Supervisor, Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP) supports the daily operations of the Resettlement Assistance Program. The Supervisor works with the RAP team to provide resettlement assistance services to Government Assisted Refugee (GAR) clients under RAP as prescribed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership, supervision, and delegation to the team to deliver RAP orientations and to facilitate the clients’ transition from RAP to Settlement Services while also ensuring the program operates in compliance with established policies and procedures. This position will be responsible for liaising with the Settlement Program and other stakeholders in providing services to Afghan, Ukrainian, Syrian, and other refugees.

**Your Role**:
Archway’s Supervisor for the Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP) contributes by:

- Providing support, leadership, direction, and supervision to staff as they deliver services to Government Assisted Refugees (GAR).
- Developing and maintaining knowledge and familiarity of available services offered by community agencies in the region to support refugees.
- Following up with clients/agencies to assess effectiveness of services and referrals.
- Gathering feedback from refugee clients at the end of their temporary accommodation in the search for more stable housing.
- Checking in on a regular basis with staff and participants on progress being made in finding housing.
- Working closely with the RAP team to provide continuous case monitoring and follow-up and assisting to address barriers such as transportation and language.
- Communicating regularly with the Settlement Services Manager in regards to challenges, successes, and program needs.
- Ensuring program expenses are in alignment with government funding.

This position is a great fit for someone who has cross-culteral experience and sensitivity, crisis intervention skills, and a strong knowledge of and connection to the issues faced by vulnerable immigrants and refugees, including their settlement needs.

**Our Offer**:

- Wage: $30 to $32 per hour
- A full-time position at 35 hours per week, availability Mondays to Fridays, and some weekends.

Getting an Interview - you will be considered if you have:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service field or a related field or a combination of work experience and related education.
- Significant experience working through resettlement needs and issues experienced by multi-barrier immigrants and refugees.
- Experience in program coordination and leading a team.
- Experience working and collaborating with multiple agency and community partners.

The Job Requires you to have:

- Well-developed knowledge of settlement needs of immigrants and refugees.
- Knowledge of issues faced by vulnerable immigrants and refugees, including language and cultural barriers.
- Strong ability to problem solve in a team setting.
- Demonstrated crisis intervention skills.
- Sound knowledge of community-based programs and services within British Columbia and Canada and related systems that support newcomers to Canada.
- Ability to connect clients to mainstream BC services and systems.
- Effective written, verbal, and active listening skills; able to communicate clearly and respectfully with people from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and who have low English levels.
- Strong cross-cultural experience, sensitivity and skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills; able to balance and manage competing projects and priorities.
- Adept in using computers, Microsoft Office 365 and databases.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
- A valid BC Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record.
- Access to a reliable vehicle.
- An additional language such as Punjabi or Arabic is an asset.
- A satisfactory criminal records check is a condition of employment.
- A valid First Aid certificate with CPR Level 1 is a condition of employment.
