The Equipment Operator Training program is a Simulated Work-site Skills Development program funded through the Alberta at Work Initiative. The goal of the program is to connect out of work Albertans with employment through skill development targeted to occupations in demand in Alberta. The program will assist Albertans with obtaining a Class 3 Drivers License and certification to operate vacuum or water trucks through work-site training. Once complete, trainees will be fully prepared to connect to employment.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Providing information on the labour market and job opportunities.
- Staying informed of labour market trends and economic changes within industries and the current occupational demand.
- Monitoring the effectiveness of job matches through client and employer feedback and developing reports for the Program Manager.
- Working cooperatively with the program team to assist clients with resume development and targeting, online profiles, and interview preparation including arranging mock interviews.
- Case management duties including collecting employment information, providing post-employment support as needed, and compilation of program outcomes.
- The collection and management of client information ensuring accurate and relevant case file management in accordance with funder guidelines and privacy regulations.

**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in related field or the equivalent combination of experience and education.
- 2+ years’ experience in working with employers and unemployed individuals.
- Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP) designation is considered an asset.
- Ability to develop relationships in a variety of industries and businesses.
- Understanding of the challenges clients may encounter when adjusting to a new job.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and schedule daily client and employer activities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the oil & gas, construction, and trades industries.
- Fluent in Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel, and Outlook).
- A clean criminal record and vulnerable sector check.
- Class 5 Drivers License and reliable transportation.
